Pneuma Counseling, LLC is owned and operated by Dawna Snider. Dawna holds a Master’s in counseling from Ottawa University, and is licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.

She has a relational approach to counseling which stems from observing the needs of others, and realizing that people in general desire to be heard and understood. Real and lasting change in therapy begins with attuning to a client, so they will be heard, and coming along side of them while they make the necessary changes. This respect for vulnerability promotes value; something so vital in the therapeutic experience.

Making the choice to work on healing is a gift you give to yourself, and an investment into your future. It takes courage to come to counseling, and those who do, are choosing to be healthy. Let’s work together to process the underlying issues of anxiety and depression and walk together towards your personal goals of mental and emotional health.

As a native to Arizona, Dawna loves the desert, especially after the rain.  Her favorite hobby is to hike in the rain.  She is a true nature lover, who would much rather be outside than in.  She also plays a very competitive game of pickleball with family and  friends. 

In addition to being a nature lover, she enjoys the family bunny and dogs.  But most importantly, she puts her family first. Dawna has been married for 31 years, has two adult children, and a daughter in love, and a  mom. Although work is important, family is everything. 

Dawna's faith is a vital part of everything. As a Christian, for she leans on the truth of God's word, looks to the Holy Spirit for guidance, and makes prayer a top priority.
